This week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the atmosphere was akin to a fantasy for golf enthusiasts. Amid the melodic strains of a live mariachi band and the enthusiastic applause of 500 onlookers, Tiger Woods unveiled El Cardonal at Diamante, marking the debut of his first signature golf course.

Set against the majestic Pacific Ocean, this occasion was more than just an inauguration; it was a festivity of the love for golf and the fruition of eight years of diligent design and development.

Tiger Woods, who is no stranger to overcoming adversity in his life,  encountered considerable obstacles during the development of El Cardonal, including financial difficulties and the destructive impact of Hurricane Odile. However, these hardships only fueled his resolve.

El Cardonal is the realization of Tiger's vision: a golf course designed to delight players of every ability, featuring expansive fairways and inviting greens, embodying the true essence of the game.

Tiger Woods is progressing in his ankle surgery recovery, although he's encountering issues with other parts of his right leg.  He revealed that his surgically repaired ankle, treated for arthritis after his 2021 car crash, is now pain-free.

However, he noted that compensatory hypermobility in the surrounding areas continues to pose problems. He said, "Addressing one issue means the other parts have to compensate, becoming more hypermobile, which can lead to additional concerns."

Focus on your grip!

A strong and relaxed grip can greatly improve your golf swing.

Imagine holding a tube of toothpaste in your lead hand (left hand for right-handed golfers, right hand for left-handed golfers).

Squeeze the tube to apply pressure, but not so hard that toothpaste squirts out.

This will help you find the right balance between control and power in your swing.
